
David Barbee, Director of Flight Operations
Dave Barbee oversees all aspects of Flagship Aviation’s flight operations and serves as principal liaison to the Federal Aviation Administration and other Government agencies.
Dave attended Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia and Northern Virginia Community College where he obtained an A.S in Engineering Technology. He holds and Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and has logged 9000 hours as pilot. Dave has been flying Falcon Jets exclusively for more than a decade and has 5000 hours of experience in the Falcon 900/50 type.
Dave Barbee served as Captain and Director  of Operations for Garden Air, a multiple Falcon Operator with worldwide operations based in Morristown, NJ from 2001 to 2005. While at Garden Air, Mr. Barbee was instrumental in the acquisition and development of their FAA air carrier certificate. In 2005, Dave accepted an opportunity from Transaction Networks in Washington, D.C. to oversee the operation and eventual sale of their Falcon Jet. In 2006, David joined Premier Aviation where he served as captain and Chief Pilot on the Falcon 900EX in Global Operations under FAR, parts 91 and 135.
Dave founded Flagship Aviation with a vision for establishing the benchmark for operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the Corporate Aviation Industry.
Doug Simpson, Chief Pilot
As Chief Pilot, Doug ensures Flagship Aviation's crews meet the highest qualifications and conducts all operations in compliance with Federal Regulations and Operations Specifications.
A former U.S. Naval Aviator and a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Doug brings to his role both a passion for aviation and an extensive operational command experience. Doug earned his Naval Aviator wings in 1967 and served two tours in Vietnam, aboard the USS Ticonderoga and the USS Shangri-La. Doug flew 150 combat missions over Vietnam in the F-8 Crusader. Simpson retired from the U.S. Navy in 1988.
After leaving the Navy, Mr. Simpson joined Jet Aviation where he served as captian on various corporate jet aircraft including the Falcon 50 and Falcon 900. In 1998, Doug joined Premier Aviation, where he became the Director of Operations. Doug was responsible for the oversight and development of their FAA part 135 Charter certificate. Doug has logged more than 15,000 hours as a pilot and has more than 5500 hours experience in the Falcon 900/50 type.
Christine Gutilla, Chief Flight Attendant, Cabin Services Director
Christine Gutilla is responsible for the oversight of Flagship Aviation's Flight Attendant Training Programs and Quality Control for our Cabin Services.
Christine's background in corporate aviation makes her the ideal watchdog to ensure the standards of service we provide are the highest available and beyond the expectations of the most discriminating traveler.
Christine is Flight Safety trained and FACTS certified. In addition to her experience with a number of international charter and corporate operators, Christine's charm and performance has earned her posts with several Aircraft Manufacturers' Flight Demonstration Crews
